The New York Energy Research and Development Authority is hosting the State of the Science Workshop on Offshore Wind Energy. The State of the Science Workshop 2020 Cumulative Impacts to Wildlife will be in Rye Brook, NY on May 5-6, 2020. The workshop will identify key studies that could be conducted in the near future and will assess the knowledge of offshore wind development’s cumulative impacts on ecosystems and populations. Fisheries Mitigation Plans for New York Procurement of Offshore Wind Energy
In October 2019, NYSERDA finalized contracts to purchase power from the Empire Wind and Sunrise Wind offshore wind projects, in fulfillment of the New York State Public Service Commission's July 2018 Order. The latest fisheries mitigation plans from the contracted offshore wind developers and associated materials are provided at the links below.
